Edmond Rostand's CYRANO DE BERGERAC is reborn as CYRI, a tragicomic adaptation featuring gender-swapped leads. Cyrano, poet and hero of the sword, has a big nose and an even bigger heart-- especially when it comes to her oldest friend, Monsieur Robin. But when Robin falls in love with the beautiful Christian, Cyrano must swallow her feelings in order to turn her fellow soldier into the poet that Robin has always imagined. These labors of love may prove too much even for Cyrano, especially when the jealous and malicious Countess has Christian’s company redeployed to the frontlines of an ongoing war. What follows is a bittersweet exploration of what the heart wants-- in friendship and in love.
